The Living Room Times basketball pools are free to enter, and the prize is simply bragging rights -- or Eternal Glory, as I like to say.
The complete rules are here. The most important rules are:
1) The deadline to enter is 12:15pm Eastern Time on Thursday.
2) One entry per person, please. If you submit multiple entries, I'll assume you're changing your picks, and will use your final entry and delete the earlier ones, unless you tell me otherwise.
3) That said, entering brackets for kids or pets is perfectly fine, with the provisos stated on the rules page). I'm also more forgiving of nicknames/pseudonyms for kids, provided I know whose kids they are. :)
4) The "First Four" games are not included in the pool. If you believe that either team from a given "First Four" game will keep winning & advance to the Round of 32 or beyond, pick the applicable double-listed "team" (e.g., "Dayton/Boise") to win subsequent game(s), and you will get credit if either team from that "First Four" game proceeds to win the predicted game(s) in the main bracket.
5) You must provide a valid e-mail address (it will NOT be made public).
6) If at all possible, please enter with your real first and last name. Anonymous, psuedonymous, first-name-only, Twitter-handle-only, etc., entries are not allowed -- at least not without discussing it with me first. Again, details and a full explanation are on the rules page. If this rule poses a serious problem for you, please contact me at irishtrojan [at] gmail.com so we can figure out a solution.
With regard to the other fields below (school affiliations, where you live, etc.), I don't need all of that information from everyone, I just need some info from everybody, so you aren't just an unknown name. Basically, I want to have some meaningful way of identifying you in pool updates on Twitter and Tumblr. After all, it's hard to have meaning "bragging rights" if nobody knows who you are! But a full biography is not required. :)
Failure to comply with the rules may result in disqualification from the pool. Again, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks and good luck!
